Checklist - Conducting an Engineering or Term Project

Before the Start of the Project:

• Kick-off meeting with your advisor to discuss a project plan.
• Definition of a submission date.

During the Project:

• Active interaction with the advisor and other researchers at the chair during in presence work in Ottobrunn.

Completing the Project:

Completing the term project includes a written report and a presentation about your scientific work. The engineering project only requires a written report.

• Written report:
  • Length 4-8 pages (engineering project) or 8-15 pages (term project) - double column.
  • Use a project template (preferably Latex).
  • Follow the Submission Guidelines.
• Presentation (only term project)
  • 10 min presentation in the Research Seminar + 5-10 min discussion
  • Try to not use more than 10 slides.
  • Slides have to be done in PowerPoint and should be submitted at least 24h before the presentation to your advisor.
  • Use the presentation template.
• Depending on the project submission might also include a submission of your code or created hardware. Please clarify with your advisor.
